oh that's a tough one. Some things that work with me is make a picture in daylight (experiment whether direct sun or or not works best for yout phone). Also it sometimes helps to use a flashlight orso to make better pictures. Sometimes the flashlight on my phone even works better than the flash . And your phone might have setting as well to play with contrast and light and such.
