I agree with the author
Persepolis deserved an Oscar more than Ratatouille.

Maybe it does. They are some people who think the movie demonizes Iran. Here is a link for that [link]

You might disagree with the video.

"You might disagree with the video."
Indeed

What did you think of it? The guy who made it was saying that the media glorifies one side but demonizes another side that is similiar to the one they are glorifying. What do you think?

Listen, it's rather difficult for me to to talk about things like this in english. My vocabulary is poor so, it's not easy for me to qualify my comments.
Plus, I don't understood all what they say in the 2nd movie of the vid.
I understood it talk about alcohol during the prohibition in USA and he compares it to Persepolis.
But the purpose of Persepolis isn't the prohibition of alcohol in Iran. I don't understand why he was focalised on a small part of the movie.
M. Satrapi didn't demonize Iran. She just explain why a free woman like her can't live in a country like that.
Agree with her or not, it was her feeling and she's free to leave a country where she can't live properly, from her point of vue.

pheeew, I dunno if I answer your question.

Oh. He was saying that Marjane's family was commiting a crime and they were showing government officials as evil while in the Untouchables it shows the government officials as heroic.

P.S. You sort of did answer my question.
