Well most of my impression came from the reaction thread when streaming with /mlp/ and it was the first episode since Princess Spike that had 80% 1/10
I think most points could be summed up with
1. Stupid premise - Aj and Dash already tackled that issue in Fall Wather Friends
2. Twilights trophy doesnt make sense, prizes should be given for the hard work, not whether student like someone. It make Neigh Sayer look good with his codex and the premiere of the movie pointless.
3. Dash and Aj were painfull to watch, with everything going wrong being predictable
4. Dash and Aj almost let a barn crush the student, almost let student crush their heads on rocks and almost let Yona drown, everuthing for a stupid trophy. And for the school job they shoudnt even care about since they have their own careers.
5. None of them learned anything and entire episode was pointless waste of time with no clever dialogues or jokes. The new writer basically saw just first 13 episodes of S1 and tried to sopy Fall weather friends but with Student6 as addition.
additionally, using "everycreature" was very annoying, espceially since previous episodes featured "everyone" many times and even in this season.

Could the episode be seen as a deconstruction of the notion that anyone can be a teacher? View it as a means of highlighting that Rainbow Dash and Applejack's hubris leads to the death of infants. But there is no punishment, for they are friends with a princess, who blindly looks the other way whenever they commit homicide.
Episode is an example that Haber shoudn't be a story editor as he allows writers who don't watch the show to write episodes.
