When a group of oppressed people make in-group jokes about a common experience, it's often a funny way of bonding for them. If someone outside the group said it, it would be in a different context and not funny.

Being unaware of someone flirting with you is hardly a major issue. And lesbians are not oppressed, at least not in the Western world. Are they unfairly attacked? Yes, but they're hardly alone in that regard.

Don't understand how you've gotten so bent out of shape all from me not understanding a joke I'd never heard before.
