Alright. I tried around. The file actually came back different to how I uploaded it. (Checksum was different.)
I now uploaded it to the stash:

ZIP

No Preview

Try that. It's the same bundle. Which browser do you use? Could have something to do with the browser, too, so if this download doesn't work try another browser.
I downloaded this in Firefox and Chrome. I see the grey screen for about 12 seconds and then I see the three modules.

If it has to do with performance then making the attempt after a restart with no other programs running could help, too.

ONE of these should work! :fingerscrossed:

I am having the same issue as the-sweet.  I downloaded it from the stash link using Safari, and then again using Firefox, and when I open it, I just get the gray screen, and if I resize the screen i get the menu, bot no modules.  However, I am apparently in the mood to bang my head at things, so I right clicked, went to open package contents, and then went into the folder MacOS which has the unix executable for the EMVVC_Prototype, so I clicked it because why not, and it opened terminal and then the app, and it opened just fine.  (This all sounds much more methodical than it was, which was just one step better than angry keyboard smashing)  I don't know if this helps at all.

Oh wow! (Sorry for the late reply. Been on holiday.)
Well, I hope it will help! I don't know what to make of it, but my linux geek bf might. ^^

Thank you!! :blowkiss:

This worked for me! I think that means something has gone awry in the app compiling process, but that's just a guess on my part. However, I can't terminate Terminal and keep it open, nor can I really DO anything in EMCCV. I have a bunch of Java information in the Terminal, but I'm not sure whether it's normal or abnormal.

Thank you for the info. I really hoped it would at least work, if in a roundabout way. I'm back from my holiday and looking into it.

I'm using Chrome 68 for Mac. First download to the HD wouldn't complete (I usually have to type a password to rearrange things on the root hard drive, so maybe directly downloading something there wasn't the best idea), second download said the file wasn't found (at Sta.sh), third one downloaded to my Desktop (which uses iCloud Drive). I opened it, and by default it's all gray, but once I manually expand the window, I can see the EMCCV logo and controls. But I never see any modules. I'll try the restart thing just to be sure... but how memory intensive is it supposed to be?

As an addendum, I also had my husband try it on his Mac (also running 10.13, latest version of Java, etc.), and he couldn't get any modules to load, either. Just the gray screen, which expands to show the EMCCV logo and controls, but no modules. He got it from Google Drive, but I also gave him the link to sta.sh.
