Based on the shape of Mack's legs, I'm going with "it's supposed to be a puppet, with the pogo sword with eyes being the actual body". But since they're all living inanimate objects anyway I'm not sure how fake that would make a puppet Mack.
Yes, and I also wondered if the orange head was actually supposed to be the pommel, to give the whole thing a miniature Exor feel.
