Your 10 (complete) written sentences: Skein hadn't intended to spend the night 'rallying against the void'.  She'd come to Capria during the time of limited open borders to participate in the yearly Great Dragon Migration.  It appeared intentions didn't really matter though, because right now a large Terradragon was hurtling out of the sky in her direction.  She wasn't a battler and the sheer size and unexpected situation had her frozen.  It drew up short in front of her, it's body twisting in a manner that somehow seemed aggressive.

What got her moving was when it opened it's mouth and let out a unholy screech.  Terradragons were supposed to be capable of speech, the incongruity is what got her moving.  She gave a startled flap of her wings and rose into the air.  The dragon twisted and watched her before rising after her.  She was just grateful she'd left Cure at where she was staying, where she could be sound asleep in her bed and out of danger.
