Theory: Celestia is, unknowing to Twilight, keeping her from thinking about the human world except when specifically contacted by Sunset with a modified memory spell because she doesn't want Twilight to cause the same problem SHE caused in the Mirrorverse with her relationship with Good King Sombra.
Eh, not really a fan of Celestia manipulating Twilight like that.
How about this then:
Twilight is keeping HERSELF from thinking about the human world, except when specifically contacted by Sunset Shimmer, by casting a modified memory spell on herself, because after seeing for herself what interfering with other worlds caused in the Mirrorverse when Celestia continued her relationship with Good King Sombra, she doesn't want to be responsible for the same thing happening.
I think that is better.
My personal head cannon is that she visits, but somehow misses all the big disasters. Kind of like the opposite of what happens in equestria.
