Yeah, I can only bet. I have been to the the galleries of some who work for major studios, and they sometimes submit their work on DA and mention the details, often with something like "I had to get this done in a week" in their comment :faint:

Then again, since I'm not busy now, I could probably get something fairly good done. I actually hate contests with a ridiculously long time to enter, being kept waiting for 2 months after you submit your entry to see who won can be a bit annoying lol.

Good point...it would be a bit annoying if the deadline were longer. Also, this may be a good way to get your foot in the door with major companies, maybe even Square Enix itself :jawdrop: ....maybe =) Good luck...i checked out your gallery and it seems like you know what you're doing, especially with landscapes! I haven't learned how to do them yet. Where did you learn?

I didn't really learn anywhere. Art at school was always below my skill level, so I just taught myself in my free time, its easy to learn and become good at something you really enjoy  Though I must credit my Digtal Media teacher, who told me the crucial basics to 3D art, which from there, I went about myself and practiced things I wouldn't have been able to do without knowing the basics of it, as 3D art is VERY different to 2D digital art like Photoshop ( in which I'm ENTIRELY self-taught :D, and yes, I started out totally Noob-ish too, my earliest deviations aren't the worst things I've created lol )
