Never did the little league thing, so I guess I never got too into baseball. But I did grow up in New Hampshire, a 45 minute drive to Fenway and have seen a couple games.

Then I moved to Ft. Myers, where the BoSox soon followed for spring training. They have a pseudo monster at the spring training park.

Get into it come playoff time, but too long of a season for me. Most games are pretty much meaningless.

lol seems like the Sox just followed you everywhere lol. its true, the season lasts a number of months longer than the norm. esp with spring training nocked on and all that jazz. I wouldnt say most games are pretty much meaningless, but 160 games are def. a labor of love. *shrugs* I didnt come into football (not sure if you're even a fan of that lol, but Im taking my chances anyway!) until recently when I was a sophomore in college. Prior to that, i cursed the name of football from one day to the next lol it was a VERY acquired taste for me to say the least and thats how life is, y'know? so ya coo =)

I was a soccer player, so I hated football with a passion. I just never got into it.

Then I went to UF. My first game was the Florida-Tennessee game (a big and bitter rival). That got me interested. The experience of 'The Swamp' is like no other college stadium, 90,000 rabid fans make a difference. My first year we went to the National Championship, second year we won it.

Been hooked ever since. BYU has a pretty good history, but I don't think it has the same avid fan base, which really makes a difference.

But NFL has 16 games, compared to 160. Every game seems to mean a lot more.

But hey, I don't know too many girls that are fans of any sports. (to watch anyway)

HEY! A fellow soccer player! Alright, you just got back on my good list jk lol I played rec and clubs for about 8 years, loved every minute.

Seriously, I know what you mean. I first started getting into BYU football my sophomore year primarily because my dad was a big football guy (not of BYU, but we always had season tickets to ASU and he also loved the Longhorns), and started replying to my emails with football plays. Id have to submit, research'em out and that got me interested little by little, and then with BYU's losing streaks, Id get involved yelling for them to actually throw the frickin ball or what have you. It's true, ever since Lavell left, it hasnt been the same, game wise. Fan wise, though, you have a lot of die hards but its a pretty contained group, I'll tell ya. It's not as broad as other universities.

Heh, *scratches head* I get that a lot, what can I say, I'm a rear breed of my genus...*shrugs*
