How did you prepare the canvas? I love all the marks on the surface

This is actually a reclaimed canvas of mine. I have about 2 other paintings underneath it that have been gessoed over. So the textures are a result of many layers of oil paints and gesso. :-]

Whats wrong with that? Thats called using your brains 
I tend to paint over loads of my paintings myself (and to be honest loads of people do the same). I get bored of my paintings easily so I paint over them. So dont feel bad about doing so especially when the results of doing so are so damn mint!!!
