Hmm. You have two options now.
If you have Service Pack 1 installed, then you should look for and download the new Vista Glazz beta, but make sure you restore your backup uxtheme.dll files first, before re-using.
In the case you aren`t running SP1, then you should restore your original uxtheme.dll files, reboot and then try to re-patch. Under your Windows\System32 directory, you should see "uxtheme.dll.vgorg" or something like that. All you do is remove the .vgorg extension so it looks like "uxtheme.dll" instead, and reboot. Remember though, there are two more files to restore to default: "shsvcs.dll (or something like that, I forget)", and "themeui.dll". Then you can reboot.
Sorry if you already knew about all of this.
The problem is with your uxtheme files right now. Those files can be so much trouble
