There is apparently a lot more to Tommotia than simply that one conical shell. The reconstruction is according to an articulated relative, apparently.

Just recognized it. The one I was thinking of was T. kozlowskae.
If T. admiranda is really a relative to T. kozlowskae, the genus
Tommotia could be closely related not only to the cephalopods, but also to the polyplacophora.

At least they're all molluscs, but it's interesting how this puts their family tree together.

There are four recognized species of Tommotia, and since the genus' reevaluation, I really don't think that it's regarded as a cephalopod anymore. In fact, I'm unsure if it is even regarded as a mollusk now.
