Aw, but then we get to laugh at Buttercup's uselessness. I'm not sure whether she's better or worse in the book--at least there you know she's supposed to be dim.

But! I love how you've drawn Humperdinck--absolutely perfect. The crosshatching is really effective, and I adore his nose and cheekbones.

Personally, I thought the movie was better. The book was entertaining, but I really didn't like William Goldman's occasional rants about his fat fictitious son and equally fictitious ex-wife. I'm not entirely sure what he was trying to do, but it left a sour taste in my mouth.

I like how Humperdinck was changed from this big macho hunter type from the book to the movie's Machiavellian fop. That certainly was more fun for me to draw... and Chris Sarandon is always easy on the eyes. :)
