I guess you would have to spend some time here. I'm from Pa. and love all the green there, but here, once you've gotten usd to the seasonal changes, I thik you would be surprised at some of the beauty out here. The south rim of the Grand Canyon is like no other place in the world. (green too) or the Mogollon Rim is jusy plane awesome (that's where my ashes will be tossed when I'm gone.Winter, Fall, and Spring here is so nice tempwise that you wouldnt believe you're in the desert, I do miss the leaves changing colors back east, but even when it's hot 115 degrees, if you know what to do to protect yourself from the sun, the wildlife, cacti, and even the history of the people here is overwhelming. There are a lot of things that people who live back east dont know, and would truly enjoy the desert if given the chance.....
It does take a little time and patience to become used to the area, but it is loved by most. All of my relatives from Pa. are planning to retire here because they visited and found out how wrong they were to midjudge the entire atmosphere. So, when you get a chance, come on out and see and feel it for yourself. You'd be surprised I guarantee it. :-) take care.....jss

Oh, I might like it. I just feel a bit stubborn about that area since my family has been urging me to move there. They think it would be better for my asthma. X_X

They are correct, that's the reason my family moved here in 1967, my father's asthma.
