Altho difficult at first, I truly believe that you could definitely be successful at it.

So , do you think I should like further study or work with a real company first?
Though I'm feeling a bit glad here that at least the few comments here sounds a bit more supportive compared to my mom's -__-

Well, in all honesty, I feel that you should continue to study but also obtain an internship at a company that would help you understand more about the industry. That way, you would still have your degree, and also have a leg up on everyone else whom is trying to become a freelance illustrator. Being an intern will put you in contact, even if indirectly, with many people or businesses that could help you with your career.

I'm sure your mom is only trying to harden you to life's cruelties. Inside, she's probably cautiously delighted that you are making such decisions regarding your future. Parents tend to be overprotective of their children and do not want to see them struggle or be hurt. It's rather sweet of her, in an odd sort of way, that she has been trying to steer you in a different direction.

If you continue your studies and opt to take on an internship at the same time, I believe your mom will be satisfied to a small degree that you are both willing to abide by her advice, but wanting to break out on your own. Best of luck in your decision!!!

Well true , it's good to have network right? Though then again , that's just one of the few things which I'm terrible at >.> '\

Haha , idk if my mom really thinks so deep within. But I'll be quite delighted to really hear her real thoughts about arts and I one day. I've always think we live in quite different worlds really. Especially when it comes to art related issues , we never really see eye to eye.

Thanks for the feedback =]

Oh no! Well, I suppose this would be a good opportunity to hone your skills a bit. Right?

I think all parents live in a different world from their children. It's probably for the best that you don't see eye to eye on this, because it just made you work a bit harder to hone your skills. When you become successful (and I'm positive you will!!), it'll be that much more satisfying.

You're very welcome! I wish you all the luck in the world. :)

Well , will try =]

Aha , well perhaps that's true , though I guess I'm just a bit envious whenever I see some other people with supportive parents and family =I

Why thank you =]
