this one is my opinion EXACTLY:
I hate closed species, they can't be legally copyrighted unless you actually pay to get the copyright on them, so it's kinda stupid.
you cant just copyright a dog made of glass with liquid inside, or a cat with a flower on its body, or a fox with wings
some are okay, though, and i actually like a few

I'm not really an expert on the topic, but you don't have to pay to copyright something. As soon as you make the idea it's pretty much yours (it helps to be able to prove you were the origin of the idea), but you can't really copyright the idea of an existing animal, I'm sure. I bet there are limits to what one can copyright in this field (eg. photos of nature can't be copyrighted) but I don't know what they could be o3o;
I mean, a dog made of glass is sorta kinda "original" but at the same time not really, obviously. But rules about this kind of thing would've been hard to make, I'd say. They certainly exist, though. Maybe the answer is just one Google search away~

If you don't believe you don't have to pay for something you make to be copyrighted, think about the people who write "Character © me" in their deviation descriptions on this site. :3
If you're thinking of paying to own something, you might be thinking of trademarks.

SpitfiresOnIce to involve Bienie~

While I don't understand how one can say they share an opinion exactly and have a short rant about it without reading what it says, IIIiiii guess I'll just smile and nod? o.o;
Keep on keeping on~
