Bev, my beautiful friend..i know you appreciate it!!! my hubby has to get up in a few minutes to go to work (he works the night shift from 10pm-6am) and he's so sick with a cold right now..my poor baby!!
Oh no dearest friend, you're poor hubby, yes I remember he works night shift 
my hubby worked night shift for a long time as an electrician, it sure isn't good for family life is it. I remember the black-out curtains we hung in our spare room, so he could sleep during the day, but it was awful for all of us...James was little too. I sure hope his cold is short in duration, and he feels better soon!! xoxo

I sure hope his cold is short in duration, and he feels better soon!! xoxomy hubby working night shift isn't as bad as it was when my kids were younger..my hubby is a truck driver and he used to do long haul..he would be gone for 2 weeks at a time, home for 2 days then back out again for 2 weeks..he missed so much!! so I understand what you went through..it is hard for sure!
at least now he's home everyday and has 2 days off....I hope he gets better soon too..he is refusing to kiss me so I wont catch his cold..isn't he sweet and caring??!!

Gosh though, I totally understand how you all missed him so much, especially when the kids were younger I'm so happy that his schedule has changed though, and that he has 2 days off, that helps a heap!! Awww what a sweet man, Jim does the same thing, when he has a cold...refuses to kiss me, but I tell him it's not your mouth, it's your hands I can catch it off...I've never caught his colds yet, lol....aww yes, he sure is a sweet, caring hubby...tell him he owes you a weeks worth of kissing after he get's better 
AND we all won't come knocking, because the house will be rocking okay
