It really depends.
One thing I can't STAND is when artists think they're better than anyone else just because their art is great. I've ran into those people before where they have no respect for others and won't even reply to say "thank you" on a deviation. Sure, if you're a busy person, I get that, but at least say thank you when you can. :T It lets us know you care.
