There's an app called iTube. Basically you can look up any video on YouTube and download it. So find the lyric videos and download them. They took it off the App Store a while ago because the iTunes were losing money because people started downloading their songs there for free. I'm not sure if they've put it back up or not, as I've seen people still using it.

Bad thing about getting music off of Youtube is it has a maximum bitrate of 192kbps which is really awful quality, even for an mp3. You might not noticed if you only listen through crappy apple earphones, but you'll definitely notice with any nicer audio equipment.
