you say it like its a bad thing to be part of mlp
well if he doesn't want any ties with it then that's the best way to do it. I personally love the show heck my rooms filled wall to wall (and part of the ceiling) with pony stuff i even volunteer at everfree. but not everyone likes the show and/or fandom as much.
