I've considered this option many times, I guess I'm a little hesitant because some publishers really don't like it when your story has previously been on the web. It's a form of publishing. Maybe that's just me though XD I would love to do it this way, I just need to double check and make sure the publisher I want to go to, will allow that.

In a situation like this, probably private beta reader option would be better.
