I just kept finding stuff I really liked. Each species is a new challenge in housing and each species has such different habits that's fun to observe. The Crested Gecko was my first true pet reptile then I finally got a snake (my corn) when I moved out of my parents house (my stepmom is terrified of snakes and thinks they're all devil spawn). My corn snake set the ton for me from there and he's just the perfect pet snake so I ended up branching out into some cool uncommon species I'd discovered on Youtube. I've now braved my way all the way up to a python and a boa constrictor
Got to say my 4 snakes are cooler and easier to take care of them my lizards. Speaking of the lizards I got a Leopard Gecko because of how awesome my friends was. Then I got my skink because they're kinda chill like Bearded Dragons with similar expressions but aren't as big or need UV light and are just over all a different looking lizard. As for the amphibians well I've liked frogs (including Kermit) since I was a girl and I'd always be bringing ones home from the creek. I didn't get into them much when I was older since you're not really suppose to touch them and I was afraid of them hopping away right into my cat's mouth. However, some girls at PetCo showed me this less hoppy species and the one they showed me was their super chill poster child for frogs at the store. He just sat in my hand then walked off into his fresh dish of water. I couldn't stop thinking about him and had to go back after realizing his species care was easy for me to achieve. Well that 1 frog turned into me wanting the super cool tree frog you seen simply because the species was jaw dropping. I'm working on getting a newt now.
I really want to do educational programs about reptiles so the variety will help with that. For now I just do Youtube and answer questions on my photos on DA.
