Good stuff, Leigh! Strong inks and pencils. Pages can get a little cluttered and the colors are sometimes redundant with the inks. (For example, when you render tonally by hatch, X-hatch, contour hatch . . . that is to say, hatch . . . you can get away with simpler colors, like flat washes. If you grade them tonally to show the lighting, it's doing what the inks do, so the look can be busy, conflicted, or over-wrought. Complex inks -> simple color; simple inks -> complex color. For what it may be worth.

thanks. Yeah, I've had that idea with my art for a while but I prefer over rendering because it gives me pleasure. ha ha ha... It's kind of like how they say a huge part of smoking is the routine... it's the same for me and complex coloring.
I hear you. Like me. I'm a slob. Every now and then I go on a neatness kick and try to clean up my act, but it doesn't stick. I think maybe it's a phase and serves a purpose in the long run. In any event, being aware versus unaware makes a big difference.
