I've been busy writing my thesis, it hasn't been the easiest to write (or to stay on the task of writing it 
), but I'm making good progress.
), but I'm making good progress. As for the kitten, she's cute. I hope she survives her early childhood. She has many happy years of living with you to look forward to once she's past that precarious age. ^^
So far the kitten is doing great! She'll stay at her foster home until she can get by on just dry food. Then it's home to see if my current 7-yr-old calico female will tolerate her. Hopefully Izzy is lonesome enough to enjoy a rambunctious kitten. 
Theses aren't supposed to be easy to write! LOL Glad you're making good progress though. Hopefully faster than I write about Flikka! I forgot; are you working on MS? PhD? Other?? Good luck with the defense too!

Thanks. It's a Master's, after that I'm done with universities. I'm gonna reteach myself a couple useful skills that I picked up and dropped during my time there, and look for a job.
I don't think I'll be done with learning stuff anytime soon, but from soon on I hope it'll just be stuff that's useful or interesting. ^^
