Thanks. Love your shades of gray. Wonderfully done. Cass Ole is a fantastic stud. Did you know Brooke Shields paid 5 mil to ride him in her movie, Sahara? Kudos.

As for your poll about commenting I for one sometimes doesn't. I do other things to show my appreciation. It takes a lot for something to catch my eye and me to comment. But just because I don't doesn't mean that you don't matter to me. Everyone matters to me. I just show it in different ways. I've also found some DAs don't want that. So it's hard to know what to do at times.

The "shades of grey image" is not made by me, I found it online. It looks funny so I shared it here on my profile.:)
The horse in the movie "Sahara" is not Cass, Cass only played in the movies"The black Stallion & The black Stallion returns". ;)
I know that 100% because I´m in contact with his former trainer and members of the owner family. ;)
But the horse in the Sahara movie was a beauty ,too. :)

It is a lovely image though.
That's funny since Brooke Shields and his owner talked about that on a talk show. So somebody is running a game on somebody. From what I remember of the show Brooke admitted to pitching a fit to get him for the movie. She had actually wanted to buy him and the owner refused. Not that it matters but I always find it amusing when you run across conflicting stories. I sometimes wonder if they are doing that to see whose paying attention and whose not. It was told at one time the horse Harrison Ford rode in Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Last Crusade,  was him, but never found anything to support that. I believe you over a bunch of Hollywood types who throw fits to get their way. The way they doctor films and change a horse's appearance is confusing. Thanks for the info.

All long gone.:) Too bad that Cass is dead for so many years, he was the most beautiful Arab in my opinion. There will no other like him, no wonder why Brooke wanted to buy him :)

So true. The only stallion I have ever seen that was in his category was Arzues. He was a true black in that his skin was black under his hair. That is how you know if a horse is a true black or not.  He stood at stud for a barn my 1st husband and I managed in Georgia.  20 years old and acted like a 4 year old. I wish I had a picture of him but sadly never did.  Like Cass Arzues was truly amazing. Great horses come along few and far between. :D (Big Grin)

He was. A show champion at his age was awesome. The greatest horse you would ever want to ride. so responsive to a rider.
Managing a horse farm that had become run down was a job you wouldn't believe. Out of one stall alone we took so many wheel burrows of manure it lower the flooring down 2 feet. How the horse in that stall kept from getting an infection I never knew. We also had some of the quirkiest owners you have ever seen. Never satisfied for one moment. I was also pregnant at the time and that was fun in itself. Besides riding Arzues I had the pleasure of riding and showing a Lippanzer.  :D (Big Grin)  I have always said riding one of them is like going from driving a Volkswagen to a Cadillac in ride. I know that sounds silly but it's true. I have a lot of regrets about leaving that job. I have no idea what happened to Arzues or Favory. I was able to buy one of each of their foals. I actually owned 3 of Arzues'. I think I may have a picture of one of them. I'll have to look at see. Will post if I find it. Oh well thoughts that should be let in the past I guess. Sometimes they bring a lot of pain.

Thanks for letting me ramble about my horses and the great one, Cass. Hug
