Expired? If no one is here I'm going to leave this group. I mean, what's the point?

Yes. I have the same proplem with this group.
So I just leave it.

Yep, that's what I did. It seems to have happened to a number of groups, no one running them anymore.

I'm sorry to see the group dying. I think I'm the only contributor somewhat active and submissions keep expiring. My apologies for the inconvenience

It is sad but not really all that surprising. Ever since the inception of groups to DA, how we view art here has been irrevocably altered. Since I have returned I have seen a number of these groups I belonged to failing or simply dead in the water. People have lives offline and far too many groups were started without much thought about what happens down the road. People eventually get too busy in their lives to run or help to run a group. Some founders try to find someone else to run it usually with not much success.

There are a few groups on here that are well organized with thousands of members, but there are multiple admins running those. Realm of Fantasy has 12 admins plus the founder. Even so, it takes a lot of time to run a group and a lot of effort to do it right. I know. I ran an elaborate group of role-players for an elite guild I created on AOL way back when. It was literally like running a small business, minus the taxes. Eventually between my offline life of work and kids and my online life of RPG and guild running, I simply burned out, despite having a "staff" of other players helping to run the guild.

I'm not the only one who felt that groups were a bad idea. I've seen at least a dozen dead groups since I came back. And we'll see more too. People have lives, families, offline responsibilities. Time is limited and there is only so many hours in the day. After a while, people begin to realize no mater who much they love something like DA, they have to live and work in the world, and something has to give.

I agree with you. I totally understand and I have the same feeling
