Thank goodness for this group. What would I do all Summer? Watch baseball?

Hahaha, thats what i used to do. And football.

Haha cool. And you're from...Detroit (or that general area), right? So that means Tigers and Lions when there's no hockey around. Fun fun

I'll probably end up at a Pirate game or two before the Summer ends (thank you, $5 tickets) so at least I'll have something to keep me occupied.

Go Wings btw. Sharks are a nice organization and I'd like to see them win a little, but I despise Heatley so I'm rooting for the Wings to knock him out of the playoffs :)

Yeah, general area describes it best. Yeah, Lions and Tigers, no bears. oh my.

Yeah, baseball games have some good deals on tickets. I have only been to one Tigers game at it was at old Tigers Stadium that they tore down. :( Yeah, that is true. It can be pretty time consuming to watch games. Even if you are not entirely satisfied. XD

Haha, thanks. I don't so mind Heatley, its Thorton and Clowe that i despise, XP. right now the score is 2-1 sharks, but we will see what happens. the wings are jsut starting to turn on. GO WINGS! :)

Lol..."no bears" Gave me a good chuckle, considering the Chicago Bears/Detroit Lions division rivalry.

Yeah, especially here. Thank goodness I'm not from New York though. $1000 tickets really aren't my thing haha. I actually like baseball if I'm at the ballpark. It seems like it moves a little faster live. I have such a hard time watching it on TV though because there's nothing engaging about it and because the Pirates probably have the worst broadcast booth in all of baseball. But anyway...I've heard Comerica Park is actually pretty nice.

Yeah...sorry you guys lost. I actually fell asleep watching (finals week in college. so many projects/essays/exams, so little sleep the past week). I actually really like Clowe, not too big of a Thornton fan. But my whole thing with Dany Heatley comes mostly from his time in Ottawa - he was a "Penguin killer." Plus, I don't like the way he left the team being all whiney and demanding a trade.

Nooooo! Don't do it! Come back to the light!

Haha sorry I already watched. Gotta support my Pittsburgh Pirates...even though we've had a losing season for 18 straight years :dead:

:( They have fallen, precious. Fallen, I say.

I guess if it's a team you actually care to root for that's okay. So long as it isn't out of desperation brought on by the off-season. That is unacceptable :B

Yeah, I know. All this after we were FINALLY on ESPN this week and they talked about us having a winning season. When we play well (which is rare, but still), we get no credit and when we finally get credit we suck again. It's a vicious cycle.

Everyone here tries to support them, but after 18 years it's tough. I have actually not even been alive to see the Pirates have a winning season, since their last winning season (where they lost a heartbreaker in the playoffs) ended the October before my birth.

Luckily, there's still some hockey left. Hoping the Sharks lose this series so they can get rid of Marleau and find someone who can actually score in the playoffs.

lol Well my parents are huge Mariners fans. I despise them yet I get to hear aaaaaall about how they couldn't win a game if the other team didn't show up
And I agree. Sharks should go. But I'm a Wings fan :B

Lol next time they're negative, just say to them "at least they're not the Pirates"

I'm not really a fan of either. Actually, I would prefer San Jose to win this series (even though I DESPISE Dany Heatley and never want to see him be successful), but I think it would be better for them to lose and HOPEFULLY make some off-season changes. There are very few players on that team that are proven winners so I'm hoping they cut some of them (ie: Marleau).
