Hi! Nice to meet you!
But, why is there no, Lithography gallery? I submitted to etching since I etch the limestone with Nitric acid, but I wasn't sure where to put it other wise.

I've received my BFA with a concentration in Printmaking and I'm currently applying to Masters programs for Print. I'm trying to get more involved in the online print community. I have been submitting to Printmakers-Of-Da, but all my recent submissions are expiring, so I wanted to look into other groups.

Etching isn't just about making a negative, in my opinion, you really have to think about the process and the type of lines, strokes, and pressure you use when drawing, as well as, how long you time your etches to get the desired result.

I really like that this group separates out aquatint, and the other processes to see how different people can apply the techniques in such different ways. Most of my intaglio work combines many of the processes. If you have any questions feel free to ask I'll do my best to answer. I'll have to look up more on the lithography, the class I took was only experimental taught by a TA.

Litho is neither intaglio nor relief print technique as far as I know.
as long as you etch some part, please write it down in your deviation's description, then we can accept it either in "etching" or "other intaglio" folder.
thank you for asking, I hope my answer is satisfying.
If you have any other questions or concern, just write us!

Lithography is more of it's own category I guess, most of it I do etch in the limestone. But there are other processes in which I don't etch anything. I'll definitely put it in the description, to make it easier. Do you intend to add any other print process galleries to this group in the future, such as Seirgraphy/Screen Printing? Or perhaps include Print+Mixed Media?

well, to be honest, I didn't have time to think about it... maybe we will add "print mixed media" or something but still it must contain a process that is intaglio or relief print like. you know what I mean?
thank you for your understanding, and yes, it will make it easier for us :)

I totally understand if you want to keep this group intaglio/relief only. Do you know of any print groups that offer a good insight into Serigraphy/Screen printing?

On our front page, there you will see a few more print groups in our "Affiliates" box.
Another option would be to browse for some print deviations and look on the right side (after clicking on one of them), there you could see a list of groups where the deviation has already been submitted to.
I believe this is all I can tell you as an advice because I don't exactly know which group supports what subgenres of printmaking, hope I was a help though!
