As different as they are, I have noticed a common theme with Daz3D and SMSI: If its not their main flagship product. They hype it just until they release it then pretend it doesn't exist.
Moho and Motion Artist are great programs, that I love to death, but they care about them the way DAZ3D cares about Bryce.

It could be, but I don't use any of these programs. I have only used the original Motion Artist, which was nothing like it is nowadays. By that time it was maintained by eFrontier, a company from Tokyo, and even they abandoned it as well.
