Yes! I love drawing my OCs, which right now have a lot of Splatoon OCs or are Magical Girls in some way.

The designs are interesting, there's a lot of cute art of the species! I saw an interesting chocolate mint design that I liked. (It reminded me on Marina from Splatoon who I love ahhh)

I can't afford a strudel yet OTL but I have one arborling pending approval and a folder of ideas for my other free arborling. I'm actually going with a like... more rustic palette than I normally would? What's happening to me lol, earth tones and full scenes and digital?? The one I'm waiting on is based on dandelion puffs, though. x) I'm pretty sure I'm going to design the other one based on strawberries.
I think I'll be able to use group currency to buy a strudel MYO by the end of next month, which is exciting. I'm debating basing them off of some hazelnut dessert, partly for a subtle brown palette (who is this) and partly because I really wanna name her Hazel lol. Or I could go for lemon bars, which are one of my favourite homemade desserts. (I don't think I've ever eaten anything hazelnut in my life.) I also love kawaii cupcakes, but like... I feel like I don't want to go all bright, bold, and saturated with this species, so I kinda wanna stay away from kawaii-desu deco desserts, at least for now (although it would be awesome to have a strudel based on mermaid tail cupcakes at some point)

I think the Earthy tones and color palettes would be good for the Arborlings, they seem to favor those kinds of colors, and so does the Strudel species as a whole. Since they are based on more real things, using warm colors makes a lot of sense. (maybe with a hint of cooler colors here and there. uwu) I would probably stick to a more neutral color scheme if I were designing one, though knowing me I'd probably try to design it as dark purple first and foremost LOL ((Purple is a strange default color I've noticed I use a lot even though it's not my favorite color. I've counted how many characters I have [especially the ones I designed] that are purple and there's a surprising number. xD)) But it's always good to play with new and different things like that! You never know how well you do until you try, and you can only ever improve! ^_^

I like the Lemon bar idea, I think of a light yellow type of design that would be cute. ;w; Though to me personally, Yellow is one of those colors I dislike using the most. I like it when it's more saturated and pastel, but when it's super bright it tends to hurt my eyes and the shades of yellow are typically not pleasing to me. >< I always have to make sure there's more red in the shade or else it looks really weird. I have a hard time telling bright shades of yellow apart sometimes too, ugh. I like the color so much while strongly disliking it. xDD wow what a weird tangent.

IKR I wanted a similar (though less intense) experience with Wishfuls but like, damn, it's hard enough organizing one event a month and just... the amount of effort... x_x; I think it's something I'd love to help out with, but not create.

Honestly, I still don't know of any cool events besides prompts and DTAs! There are always art exchanges, but those can be hard on the mods if people don't fulfill their roles. Otherwise, like... themed adopts? idk I wish we could do an advent adopt for December like Meru and I did last year, but that was really wearisome - or a Halloween one like I did a couple years ago, but again, doing daily adopts for a month is really tiring, even if you had time and if we split it >< And stress aside, my hand wanted to fall off by the time I was done OTL

We could also try a YCH event or something… like maybe we could ask active members in the group of they would be interested in making YCHs for wishfuls and promote it so people can get more art of their wishfuls or something. A Secret Santa is also something we could try. But like you said it could be difficult if someone didn't fulfill their role.

I think a Secret Santa would be great for December, along with a couple special adopts and/or a raffle throughout the month? I've never set up a Secret Santa before, but something I've seen in other ones is asking for volunteers willing to do extra art in case someone doesn't fulfill their part.
