Yeah I hear good things about Sony range, I've had a go on them but I wasn't sure, think I'm still a Nikon girl. I loved the way it starts to focus when you put you eye to the viewfinder, endless entertainment! When I tried the A300 I didn't think the automatic settings were very good but Manual settings seemed nice.
Ya, like most DSLR's, setting to automatic converts the camera to a "point and shoot"... never really use it. I always shoot shutter priority. Seriously, I too would have chosen Nikon were it not for the image stabilization... that really sold me.
Well Nikon have the Vibration reduction now! It's hard to choose! Have you tried the Alpha 350? Think thats 14 MP! Not bad!
