No they are not. The Little mermaid has no connection to Greek Mythology. And Disney never confirmed it
actually in greek mythology poseidon had a merman child that became a king and his name was triton who also had seven or eight daughters just like king triton in the little mermaid and since hercules is uses son they are pretty much cousin once removed or something like that
Not Really. Triton wasn't his name in the original little mermaid book, nor was there an underwater kingdom called Atlantica in Greek Mythology. The two Tritons are different Tritons. Little Mermaids triton is not the Greek Triton, he is BASED off him, but not him. So DISNEY Hercules and Ariel are not related at all.
