I'm writing a fantasy novel as a hobby and started developing all sorts of different cultures, and in the course of that gained a whole new awareness for the beauty of ethnic diversity. Being a white girl and all, my art used to feature almost only white people (which I guess is natural to some extent), but now I'm really having fun experimenting with all sorts of skin colors, hair textures and facial features.
I usually like to search on dA for themes I like drawing myself to get inspiration and learn from the pros, and I gotta say I was kind of disappointed by how hard it was to find what I was looking for, even on dA. Not that I want to tell people what to draw or anything - just a pity that some kinds of beauty are so underrepresented! I'm glad I found this group and can't wait to look through your gallery. Once I got a working tablet again, I might even join in! Keep it up

We’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying the group’s galleries. The diversity you’ve described is exactly our aim - providing a showcase for subject matter that we feel is (so far) under-represented in the mainstream. It really is thrilling and humbling to be able to help so many artists show their efforts in this regard.
As for your own work, we would love to see some of it! Even if you simply watch and draw inspiration, though (and maybe comment; you’re certainly welcome to do so), we hope you enjoy your stay.
