Hello Anthony,
I just wanted to say hello,

....
I’m just..

going to come off straight here.

It seems as if nobody really checks around your page.. you’re unknown.?

No watchers, and to know I’m the first one to comment here in 3 years.. it creates a vibe a little void and empty..

,

Do you mind being this way? I saw your journal,
Who exactly were you talking to..?

You have no followers. No watchers. Nobody at all.

That journal, to your Facebook page I’m talking about

Normally your art gets an average of 1-2 stars..

Do you mind being this way?

It’s been three years, do you care much?

I think you have potential to have so many more watchers, honestly

I, adore your art, I love it so much, I love looking at it.. I wish more people can gaze upon it you know..
It looks crisp, fine.. I saw the ocarina you drew, the colouring came out really shiny..

I don’t know if you’re currently active to see this
Whenever you do, I hope you’ll reply with some answers to my questions..

If I came off as rude, so be it.
But I asked it, it’s been asked, and there is nothing much that can be done about it, other than complaining, and giving an answer to it..

Hello,

I'm honestly used to being overshadow, and not having any attention. In fact, I've been struggling to find animation work for 2 years.

That why I'm trying to post artwork more often to get myself out there in the art industry. My work has been getting some attention the past couple of weeks on social media. It also evolved over time too, though I'm still trying.

Really appreciate the compliment.

Is that so, I do feel a little bad...
You deserve more attention,

Maybe you should start going to accounts, and praise their work, then they’ll be interested in you

Or maybe start tagging your artwork with things like #digital #animation..

Maybe you should join some DA groups,
Get Twitter, Instagram, post on stuff like that..

If you have time even YouTube..

Now put all those links in all your bios for everything to get started

Next, start talking to other deviantants, tweeters, Facebook people, the tumblr people, YouTube people, gramers,

I do that too a lot. Especially on Facebook and Twitter where I'm mostly active. I even go to a lot of Cons. Heck, I'm actually going to an animator's con called CTNX in California next month for the 2nd time.

Most of the problem is actually coming from my art style, and what I draw and/or animate. A lot of people on the internet don't think my art style and animation aren't that good. I could never master the ability of drawing fast, I have some anatomy, perspective and proportion issue, but worst of all, my constancy is the worst. Had that all my life. Though there have been a lot improvements with my recent works (compare my senior thesis from from 2016 to my personal film in 2018), I still need to do better with drawing and animating. Im constantly trying to find new ways to evolve my drawing and animation skills, as well as posting something new at least everyday. I'm also trying to find a good focus group too. I mostly like to draw Pokemon and Nintendo stuff for fun, though lately, I've been participating in the Linktober month for the first time.

I'm doing everything I can to get myself in the animation industry (preferably in Storyboarding). I'm 25 going to 26 on New Year's Eve, and I graduated SVA as an animator in 2016. It's been a rough 2 years, and it's very competitive, but I ain't giving up.

Well if you say your problem is your art style
Take the time to improve on it

I see the improvements from your senior thesis and your film now, I checked the links, but that improvement isn’t enough in the industry
You said it yourself
“It’s very competitive”

You know what?
If you really aren’t giving up, if this is the main thing you want to pursue..
You’re gonna have to take the time to really learn.
I know. This makes me sound like a hypocrite.. since I’m just 14 and I’m nowhere near your level but please hear me, for I know.. I know some people, there’s this good man genkkis, hes on Deviantart you can search him,
he’s really helpful to me, I’ve learned a lot of tips, and I’ve heard a lot of how he became a success.. he’s 40 years of age, so I have to say what I’m about to quote of him would be pretty wise
Plus words are coming from my own experience too

Anyway, he said.
You improve by drawing things not only characters, but backgrounds, animals, nature.

In this wold there are so many things, and if you don’t draw them, well I’m sorry but improvement will be hard or scarce.

Sit down, look outside. Copy the landscape.
In peace. If you get a good idea of how to draw the world, then people will be more drawled to your work..it’s honestly essential to know how to make nature.

For anatomy? You’re old enough to try taking classes for yourself now :|

Or you can always watch tutorials,
If those don’t work. Then study your own body
That’s what I do

I try to look at the details
“So this is the distance between a shoulder and a head?”
“This is how the body curves when I go in this position?”
“My arms are this long, and it travels down to this point when I place it flat?”
.
Things like that. The only way we can understand the reality of form is by looking at it and really studying it.

We can also look at images of people, and reference off that. There’s nothing wrong in reference right?

As long as it’s not a trace, it’s not wrong.

..
If I were you, I’d try to learn a lot, try to improve myself first. Then I’ll try to get myself really in there

That's exactly what I'm doing.

And I will check that guy out. Thanks.
