Oh hey! You were at the panel I hosted. (cosplay scavenger hunt)

It was my first panel so I hope it didn't suck too bad.

Thank you! And I would love to hear your feedback.

I already have few ideas should make the game better.

I guess I could provide you with feedback here instead.

It would be more fun if it was more competitive, and that the guideline bar was higher, it pushes people to find more distinct cosplays rather than just rushing through to complete the categories.

Feedback for rules
1) Disallow photos from a organized photoshoot.  It basically giving some of the categories for free, like the popular (if they picked the 7 photo option) and the clones.
2) If you have to even question it, than it should be a no.  maybe as presenters, bring some comedy, like a giant Judge Mallet and Scream at the audience of why something is great or bad.  (Harley Quinn was not in a batman movie, and Jack Frost IS NOT DISNEY)
3) To encourage uniqueness and bringing up the rare costumes, add a boggle rule of "If someone else got the same cosplayer for the same category, that it shouldn't count"
4) add more funny categories
5) vauge categories are good, but might have a bigger ratio of harder categories.
6) How about a "Caption That" section, where you give a idiotic caption, and they have to find a good picture to match the caption.
7) Additional rule.  A single team can not use the same cosplayer in different categories (no one did it this time, but they may in the future)
8) Add bonus points for the judges' favorite in each category

Feedback as a presenter
1) Strip out the names of the files, some of the suprise was given away by the filenames
2) Encourage people by staying through the panel by giving away prizes at the end, not offering them in the beginning so they can leave
3) In the con book, the same description was given for all 3 panels.  This is confusing for folks as they think they can join the game on the sunday panels

I've done panels at several cons before, if you want to bounce any ideas, feel free to use me as a sounding board.

Yeah... the panel itself was really rushed. When I set up the panel I didn't know how to make a mutli part panel. I tried to mention it several times but I didn't find out until everything was scheduled that the other 2 panels weren't set up. So, I had to take what time slots were available. And I wanted to give out the prizes earlier because the point store was closing soon after the last panel.

But I agree that the game was far too easy. I didn't know how well it would go so I was being pretty lenient and got rid of a couple of the categories.
One of the biggest problems I saw was the prizes themselves. I made it a team game but none of the prizes were something you could really share.

So, for next year what I'm thinking it making 2 lists.

One be similar to the one I handed out this year, with the rules and team option, but no prizes. It will be a just for fun activity you can do with friends. Which would also be good for your boggle idea and get some competition going within each team.

The other list will be an extra hard single person challenge. It'll be nothing but clues like the bonus photo from the first game, but this will be the only one that will have a prize if you complete it.

I also really like the idea of adding a Caption category. It sounds hilarious and good chance for some mischief.

I like the clues, it makes it super challenging.  Just keep in mind, while your panel isn't that familiar yet.  You want to make sure it's not too hard that people dont just drop out, because it's a bit of a time commitment.  But after a few years, your audience will grow more and more.

ORRRR, you can do a ton of marketing to get your panel well known before next year's con ahead of time.
