I apologize but I would not recommend my University for their art school. I went to that University because all of their medical programs were either the best in the state or within the  top 10 in the US. After I changed my mind on pursuing a nursing degree I decided to pursue my passion for Art.  I had to choose between transferring and having to take over 30 more credits (not to mention making up credits that wouldn't transfer) or to just finish the remaining 18 or so at my University. I choose to stay. It was an adequate education but it wasn't great.

On a slight side note: while I didn't really find a lot of constructive critique for most of my classes, I think personal growth in art is more based on determination and self education of an artist than a great school. Don't search for an expensive university where you won't be able to pay off your student loans. I know people who are in $50,000-200,000 worth of debt where as I'm getting out of it at $27,000. Art is a hard career to get a job in. If you can't make a living off of it and pay off your loan money then an extremely expensive degree isn't worth it.

I've read articles that state that a degree at Yale only gives the graduates a one year step up from graduates from other colleges before they are all equaled out.

So that is just something to keep in mind.
