So now the NHC has Irma going into the Gulf. I really hope you and I aren't taking turns with this shit.

SON OF A PUP!

Irma....

Actually, I was thinking, we have had an astoundingly wet summer this year (in general :D ). Remember when that ice sheet the size of Delaware collapsed in Antartica? It didn't effect sea levels, but fresh water does evaporate with less heat than salt water. Fresh water is also less dense than salt water so it has a tendency to float on top of it, where it is more likely to hit sunlight and evaporate.

You really got to wonder if the two are connected.
Antartica will have its Revenge!

Or hopefully not.
Enough already.

That's way too much science. I just think Ragnarok is coming. "Irma" was a war goddess, I think.

Yup. A goigle search has Irma as a German Goddess of War.

Nothing bad could possibly come from that!

Thanks!
I figured I'd better get it done before the power goes out.

Seeing Tallahassee in the cone, now. Officially adding you and yours to the dozen or so people in Florida I'm gonna worry especially about.

Yeah, we're prepping again, but unless it swerves out into the gulf to maintain its speed I don't think we're going to evacuate. Thankfully, I live on a hill top. Yes, there are actually hills in Florida. So flooding shouldn't be a problem. Winds that's another matter.

We'll just have to wait and see.

That sounds a lot like the calculus we did. Comes down to a handful of miles right or left.

Well, tell you one thing I learned. Pre-drilling holes in plywood really helps.

I'll keep that in mind.
