That's awesome! :D

Thinking about it, the SNES Classic Edition would be the perfect platform to finally release it.

A fairly out-of-the-blue decision, but it's still pretty neat!

And just when I thought Nintendo would possibly give up on the franchise. (Can't say Star Fox Zero ended up being the biggest hit)

But, I am excited to see what the game will look like 100% complete. Cause, I'm not totally convinced that the ROM leaks we got were the final intended product. Especially since most of them were still running debug code.

To be fair, we don't know if Nintendo really is working off a patched ROM leak either. Wouldn't be the first time they utilized a copied ROM from the internet...

Well, it's my understanding, according to Dylan Cuthbert, that the game was fully completed or at least near completion. What's a bit unclear is at what stage in development that leaked ROM came from. What I could see Nintendo using is the fan made patch that fixed most of the bugs on that ROM and translated the game into English.

That would be my suspicion as well. Honestly I'd be surprised if the version they release really is different.

Well... I just found something else out as well. Dylan Cuthbert apparently owns the completed copy of the game. And I mean, the copy that was going to be written the ROM cartridges and shipped out in 1995. So, apparently, there is a completed version of the game that is different in some aspects to what we've seen in the leaked ROM. I'm guessing, this is most likely the build we're going to see on the SNES Classic.

Also, the game was apparently already translated (at least to some extent) for the Winter CES 1995. So, I don't think they'll be looking too much into the fan translations TBH.

Well, I can imagine that some aesthetic things like the title screen and perhaps some parts of the game's interface maybe changed up a bit. But, I can't imagine there'd be any major changes in the game's core gameplay.
