I played the X series but I prefer the classic games. The X games sometimes have unfair elements to them (especially in X3) and vary in quality.
Part of me had been thinking for a while on whether it's worth getting Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2, and it is nice that they included X7 and X8 in the second set...but I didn't like X5 and X6 all that much. Plus, X6 was the worst in the X series in my opinion - I'm talking broken English translation, instant-death spike fetish (especially near the BEGINNING of the first leg of Gate's Lab) bad level design, and the fact that Zero somehow came back ("I hid myself while I tried to repair myself") when he was supposed to be dead at the end of X5.
That...and Mega Man: Battle & Chase wasn't included like with the PS2 and GameCube versions of Mega Man X Collection.
