That's what I always felt about all the "thanks for the x" posts people make on your main page...
If you really wanted to thank me, you would send me a note... putting it on my page just tells everyone that looks at my page "hey, this person likes my stuff; maybe you will like my stuff too, come look"...
Which is why I always NOTE people my appreciation.

Nah I'm okay with it is just prefer if they replied to my comment they're just wanting to thankcme
though some do like to go the extra mile and tell me to do stuff for them afterwards and that stuff makes me uncomfortable

Well, like I said, they don't JUST want to thank you, it's a combo, "Thanks + Advertisement"...
Like I said, if they JUST wanted to thank you they would note you, it takes the same number of button presses and they can do it at the top of your page instead of having to scroll down to the bottom and find your comment area.

I can understand that, but I used to thank for faves, llamas, etc and I used the comment box as well
My intent was not advertisement at all but I genuinely wanted to thank them and I know most that thank only mean the same
