I'd like to see that too. I'd like to implement that in a RPG Maker Fan game, but that's pretty much to much for RPG Maker XP. So yeah. But hey, Gamefreak seems to be improving so maybe gen 8?
I could see it! I don't really think the 3DS could handle it, but I'm thinking that by that time the Eighth Generation rolls around, Gamefreak will take the franchise to NX and have the freedom to do so.
It isn't impossible, 'cause they said the NX would be able to function as a home console, but also as a handheld. At leat that's what I heard. I hope the do. Like SuperKooper1 said Xenoblade would be a great base.
You have RPG Maker XP? Lucky duck. Also, Xenoblade would be a great base for a Pokemon Free Roam. 100% agree on that.
You know you can still get RPG Maker XP right? It's just 25 dollars I believe on their official site, and there are also a couple of other ways to get it for free if you know your way around things. 
I know. But paying money is the logical way to do things. I'm not logical.
Haha. I've been there too. But the crack which I used screwed over my computer time after time, so I thought: "Meh, why am I going through all this crap to save 25 dollars." So after 2 years of working with RPG XP I eventually decided to buy it anyway.
