Yesss, he is a great character in a great anime. If you're not into sports anime, you may not be a fan, but it's hilarious and inspiring and emotional and the music is great too ahhhhhh

I don't believe I'm into sports animes 'cause I could barely last two episodes of Free! ;v; (watched only 1 and a half)
But he sounds like a character I'll like for sure! If only in a more fantasy ("Soul Eater"/"Black Butler") kind of environment ahahaha :'D

Free is not like many sports animes XD A lot of them are more intense than that. But I totally get where you're coming from! I personally love the hell out of them XD they've always inspired me for some reason, though they've ruined real life sports for me forever XD
